2. What counts as a match

3. You control who sees each trip

The twist: privacy never turns matching off. A Private trip still quietly checks for overlaps with people you're connected to; it just never appears on your profile. Strangers see nothing, ever: matching only kicks in once you've added someone (see below).

5. Two ways to connect with friends

By email

By invite link
You copy your link→They open it and sign up→Friends ✓

You don't wait around: the moment you add someone, you start seeing your travel matches with them, even before they tap back. They get nudged about the match too, which is the best reason to add you back. Adding back is what unlocks browsing each other's full trip lists. If they never respond, that one-way add quietly fades after a few weeks.
