Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of AreYouInTown ("the Service"), which helps you see when your travel plans overlap with friends. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. Questions? Email hello@areyouintown.com.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- The Service is not directed to children under 13.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to spam, harass, or send unwanted invitations or messages.
- Invite people to whom you do not have a genuine personal connection.
- Upload, import, or share data you do not have the right to use, including other people's contact information.
- Attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms or that put the Service or its users at risk.
Your content
You keep ownership of the trips, lists, and other content you add. You grant us permission to store and display it as needed to run the Service (for example, showing a trip to the friends you choose to share it with). You can delete your content at any time.
Invitations and friends
When you invite someone, we send them an email on your behalf. Only invite people who would welcome it. Connections are mutual: people choose whether to accept, and either side can remove a connection.
Third-party connections
Optional features let you connect Google Calendar or Google Contacts, or forward booking emails. Your use of those Google services is also governed by Google's terms. How we handle data from them is described in our Privacy Policy.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Matching and trip detection are best-effort and may be incomplete or inaccurate; do not rely on them as your only source for travel plans.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AreYouInTown is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms; we will change the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by emailing hello@areyouintown.com.
